Description

Kateryna Zabudska is a Ukrainian artist, currently living in Brackley, in the UK. She was born in 1949 in the Cherkasy region of Central Ukraine. From early childhood days, painting became her passion.
After school, she studied art at university, and worked as a poster designer. After retiring, she returned to painting portraits and landscapes. She says: “As children, we were looking after cows in the farm with my friends, so my first models for drawing were kids and cows. Today, I enjoy sketching people on the streets. I like to show personal individual features in my drawings.” After moving to the UK, she was welcomed by local artists into the Chacombe art class, and has painted many new works, and also takes individual orders.

Kateryna’s works are mostly acrylic on cardboard, though several works are drawings using pen on paper (nos. 9-12).  Her artworks are as follows:
