Description

Volha Pashkovich is a different kind of artist – compared to the mostly painters in this exhibition: she creates beautiful authentic Belarussian traditional dolls, made in accordance to a 100 year old technology. She is originally from Belarus – one of many who fled from her original home country in 2020, after the protests failed to create a revolution toppling the dictator in power: like so many displaced Belarussians, this is why she strongly supports Ukraine at this time, and sought to exhibit her works at Beauty for Peace.
